Kellie Bryant

Kellie Bryant is the Assistant Dean of Clinical Affairs and Simulation, and Associate Professor at Columbia School of Nursing. She has over twenty years of teaching experience and ten years of experience as a women’s health nurse practitioner. In her current role, she oversees day-to-day operations and implementation of simulation-based education for all nursing students. She is also the medical director of Columbia School of Nursing’s Opioid Overdose Prevention Program, through which she has provided training to more than 1,800 individuals. Additional responsibilities include promoting health equity and implementing community service projects that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion. 

Bryant is chair of the Society in Healthcare media and communication committee. She has been appointed to the Centers for Disease Control's Nurse-Led COVID Vaccine Confidence Project. She is on the executive board of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and the Greater New York City Black Nurses Association. 

Bryant received an associate’s degree in nursing from Hudson Valley Community College. She continued her education at Stony Brook University, where she received her bachelor’s in nursing and a master’s degree as a women’s health nurse practitioner. She received her doctorate in nursing education from Case Western Reserve University.
