Ulda Louis-Pierre

Ulda Louis-Pierre, RN, BSN, M.S., is the Community Nurse Educator for the Institute for Training Outreach and Community Health (InTOuCH) at the Columbia Center for Community Health.

In 2013, Ulda graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. By 2016, Ulda completed her Master of Science in Medical Sciences, concentrating specifically on Women’s Health, a research track offered through the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine.

She started her career providing bedside care but has since expanded her skills and expertise in other areas like public health, home health, nursing education, clinical research, and has even worked on the sets of many popular TV shows and with Broadway, providing services. After receiving her master's degree, Ulda began working as a Nurse Home Visitor, implementing the Nurse-Family Partnership program, an evidence-based, community health program. Fascinated with how research impacted the program’s model and participant’s outcome, Ulda pivoted to the Research Nurse role at Columbia University’s Bronx Prevention Center to further grow in the field of research.

Ulda also loves teaching and purposefully takes on jobs that focus on educating others, such as being an instructor for nursing students and teaching at her local church through children’s ministry. Ulda is bilingual in English and Haitian Creole.

When not at work, Ulda takes full advantage of New York City being a fashion capital. She spends time exploring various stores where the fashion collections of many designers are displayed and acquiring unique pieces as one would do for any work of art.
